Shahnaz Mohamed-Atlas is Director of the gallery and an expert and consultant, specialised in the arts of the Asian and Islamic worlds across time periods from antiquities to contemporary. 

 With a keen eye for quality and a deep understanding of cross-cultural artistic traditions, she curates exceptional collections that resonate with her clients. 

Beyond her contributions as an expert and consultant she works as a curator for exhibitions, has edited several publications on Islamic art and has been commissioned to create documentaries through visual narratives, focusing on illuminating the rich cultural significance and enduring legacy of Asian and Islamic artistic traditions. 

Shahnaz is committed to educating future generations and inspiring those interested in this field, promoting and bridging the gap from traditional to contemporary works of art.

Prior to establishing her Fine Art & Antique gallery in 2018, Shahnaz worked at Sotheby’s London, Modern & Contemporary South Asian and Islamic departments internationally, working on strategic initiatives to grow clients from the region. 

Shahnaz studied History of Art and Archaeology both for her Postgraduate and BA at the School of Oriental and African Studies, focusing on Islamic and Asian art.
